Hi there,
Welcome to The Leadership Cookbook! Here, you’ll find tips, tools, stories – and sometimes recipes – to expand your skills as a leader.
I’m Dina Silver and when I’m not working with clients as an executive coach — which I’ve done for about 11 years now – I’m buying gorgeous veggies at the farmer’s market or experimenting in my kitchen.
The link between leadership and cooking? For me cooking’s the time I slow down, give my left brain a break, and change gears. Some of my best ideas for workshops, presentations and solutions to knotty coaching problems come to me when I’m chopping, stirring or fine-tuning the spicing.
The best leaders I’ve known balance the intensity of their high-powered work lives with daily quiet zones too. Some meditate, some walk, some lie on the floor in their offices and listen to music. To unleash excellence, we need to slow down and listen deeply to the answers we may already have.
So here’s to the answers we may already have, and to the learning and tasting still ahead.
